I actually shot a ton of pictures of one of these parked on the curb of Crosby st. I worked hard to get every angle, probably 30 pictures until I got the ‘right one’. When I was done, I went to peer into the drivers side window to catch a glimpse of the instrument panel. Just as I got close enough so that the glare from the sun was not hindering my view inside - I realized the driver was staring back at me, just smiling.
I was, needless to say, embarrassed however he was quite flattered and talked with me a minute about the finer points of the auto. We shook hands and went on about our respective days, one enthusiast with images of what he was working for, another with the pride of what he had accomplished.
